Introduction - How I Solve Economic Problems
The way I approach an economic problem is to look first at the simplest, most direct way of achieving the desired result. I then try to think of all the ways the potential solution could fail. Each failure that I identify I approach as a new economic problem that needs to be solved in the simplest, most direct way possible.
The results of my explorations are interesting because my analysis quickly departs from mainstream economic theory because I view people as being fallible. New solutions create new problems that lead to more new solutions. The end result is an economic system that is radically different from our current one.
I believe that a much stronger, more equitable economy can be created if we solve economic problems simply and directly in this way. On this website, I outline my vision of how a better economy could be built. I am writing a book about it. I don’t think my ideas are the final answer for how economies should be organized. My hope is that others will work on developing their own simple, direct solutions to the economic problems we face today. If we believe a better economy is possible and focus on simple, direct solutions to problems, it is only a matter of time before real improvements can be made.
